Highlights from Joe's Excellent NCAA Adventure

Minneapolis is a fascinating place, filled with strange, yet interesting inhabitants. After observing the locals from a distance for the first few days, I was soon welcomed into the tribe to observe the ancient ritual of the "Final Five Hockey Game".

While I was unable to fully understand the primitive chants of the assembled groups, I was able to fit in with the use of a couple of phrases I picked up: "Good brat, huh?" and "Get off the ice Spehar!".

I felt fully welcomed into the tribe when one of the leaders, dressed in ceremonial "Golden Gopher" garb presented me with the sacred "Reddy Kilowatt" T-shirt.

After convincing them that the camera would not steal their souls, I was able to pose for a photo with the group leader and one of the locals (below).

I enjoyed my stay with the people of Minneapolis and look forward to my return next year for the great gathering known as the "Final Four".
